Past Lives

Past Life Regression is one of many techniques available to the Evergreen staff. Although it is often sensationalized and certainly offers intrigue, the truth is that sometimes it is appropriate and in the best interest of the client. Sometimes it is not.

Oddly enough, although PLRT (Past Life Regression Therapy) is a valid and highly effective tool for resolving problematic issues, it does not:

(1) Require a belief in reincarnation

(2) Prove that reincarnation is valid

During hypnosis a person can revisit “another time, another place” and address current concerns within the context of a “safe, psychological distance.” The problem is resolved “then and there” — whenever and wherever that may be — and life goes on without the problem.

Whether a client is visiting a previous lifetime, imagining, pretending, accessing Carl Jung’s Collective Unconscious, tapping into hereditary memories carried in the genes, or visiting a parallel universe, it makes no difference. All that matters is that therapy has taken place in a manner that improves the quality of life.

A session in our office rests upon the “doing” of Past Life Regression Therapy, rather than the “knowing” all there is to know about it.

On the other hand, we explain the phenomenon of “past lives” in greater detail, along with alternative explanations such as those mentioned above, in the class we teach at San Joaquin Delta College — which also includes experiencing regression.
